The 2017 Work Summary and 2018 Work Arrangement Conference of Cheung Kei Group Held

At 10 o'clock on February 9, 2018, the 2017 Work Summary and 2018 Work Arrangement Conference of Cheung Kei Group was successfully held at the InterContinental Hotel in Shenzhen. Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian, Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia, Vice President Chen Pengyu, the heads and representatives of Hong Kong Headquarters, Shenzhen Headquarters, Zhuhai Company, Heyuan Company, Shanghai Company and Property Management Company attended this conference. The conference was hosted by Zhou Yang, Deputy Director of the HR Administration Center.

Dr. Chen Hongtian, Chairman of Cheung Kei Group, delivers an important speech

First of all, Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia summarized the Group's work in 2017 and reported on the work plan for 2018. She summarized the outstanding achievements made in 2017, commented on the work performance of each center, subsidiary and the Property Management Company in 2017 and put forward clear requirements for their work in 2018. She also expressed her heartfelt thanks to associates who worked hard in the past year.

Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia makes a report

According to Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia, Cheung Kei Group achieved rapid and steady development in 2017 and made achievements in exploring the investment market, optimizing the investment structure, consolidating the management foundation and improving the brand image. Under the premise of maintaining an ultra-low debt ratio, the Group has held a large number of high-quality assets and investments in Hong Kong, Shenzhen, London and Shanghai as well as in major cities in Europe and Southeast Asia, becoming a large-scale international value investment group. In terms of the implementation of corporate social responsibilities, the Group has donated more than HKD300 million in total and over HKD60 million was donated in 2017. In 2017, the Group continued to push ahead with five strategic investments valued at over RMB10 billion, achieving new results for its globalization. The Group has successively acquired two landmarks, 20 Canada Square and 5 Churchill Place, on London's Canary Wharf, becoming one of the largest investors in London's Canary Wharf. Moreover, Cheung Kei Group has been pushing ahead with its high-quality investment projects at home and abroad in an orderly manner.

The report pointed out that the Group will continue to adhere to the dual-wheel driving mode based on investment and operation in 2018, intensify its investments in capital market and operational properties, and increase its equity investment and asset management. Moreover, the Group will continue to improve its team building, strengthen its control system and supervision mechanism and ensure a good job in the following four aspects. The first is to build a stable and capable backbone team and enhance the core talent competitiveness by strengthening the establishment of talent team, introducing key talents, optimizing the structure of talents, intensifying training efforts and solidly developing the talent pathway; the second is to establish a management philosophy that keeps pace with the times, further improve the enterprise management system, refine the management process, clarify the division of internal functions and regulate work order; the third is to promote Cheung Kei's enterprise spirit, enhance the corporate culture, improve the quality and professional ethics of employees, pay attention to the common development of the enterprise and employees and form common values; and the fourth is to improve the execution, build each center into an excellent team that adheres to high standards and strict requirements, refuses to find excuses and makes every effort to complete the work meticulously, and realize standardized management so as to ensure a long-term, sustained, steady and robust development for the Group.

Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia pointed out many work problems and weaknesses. She said that managers need to learn more, continuously improve their comprehensive quality and expertise, and insist on an upright, efficient and pragmatic work style. All associates must constantly learn and improve, and focus on the work and their personal career development. Everyone needs to have higher ideals, stricter requirements, a broader vision, stronger enthusiasm for work, work harder, treat the Group as their own and put a whole heart into the work. Everyone should closely integrate their own development with the development of the Group, strive for progress, work hand in hand to make greater efforts for the Group and their own sustainable development in a down-to-earth manner and make more contributions to the further development of the Group. She also wished everyone a happy New Year and progress in their work.

Deputy Director Zhou Yang read out the Decisions on Recognition of Outstanding Teams and Individuals in 2017 at the conference. There were two outstanding teams for 2017, one best team, 25 outstanding employees, one best employee, two outstanding managers, one best manager and four employees honored with the Ten-Year Contribution Award. Then Li Xiaofei (the best team representative and Assistant of the Operations Management Center), Zhou Yang (the outstanding team representative and Deputy Director of the HR Administration Center), Li Wenjie (the outstanding manager representative and Director of the Design Management Center), Pan Lei (the outstanding employee representative and Manager of the Investment Development Center), Hong Xuefang (the outstanding employee representative and Financing Director of the Funds Management Center) and Yuan Shenghua (the representative of the Ten-Year Contribution Award winners and Manager of the Engineering Management Center) all gave a speech on the stage one by one. Their wonderful speech received warm applause and inspired all associates to continue to work hard and march forward.

Chairman Dr. Chen Hongtian made an important speech at the conference. He first thanked Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia for her professional and systematic work report and thanked all employees for their hard work and important contributions in the past year. He said, “In 2017, Cheung Kei Group further expanded its globalization. The acquisition of 20 Canada Square and 5 Churchill Place caused quite a stir in the UK investment community. In these two international M&A cases, the investment and M&A team headed by Executive Vice President Chen Xiaoxia negotiated with internationally-known large-scale organizations, such as Credit Suisse Asset Management, PWC Accounting Firm, CMS Law Firm and BNP Paribas Asset Management Team. The investment and M&A team has achieved success again and again with high professional standards and commercial accomplishments, and gained the trust and respect of customers and partners, winning a good international reputation for Cheung Kei Group." He was proud that the Group has such a good team. What's more, he talked about the management and work which need to be improved, elaborated the Group's work plan for 2018 and the short-term objectives, and put forward his expectations. He said, "I hope that all employees will have a strong sense of responsibility, work hard in a down-to-earth manner and continuously improve professional capabilities and standards while the Group is developing rapidly. Employees should learn more, develop together with the Group, and share the dividends of the Group's development. Moreover, the Group will also create more development opportunities for employees. I also hope that the head of each center and subsidiary will further improve the management standard and strengthen the internal management standardization so as to boost the development of the Group."
